Tailored Individual Tutoring
We offer one-on-one test prep for the SAT and/or ACT. By assessing strengths and weaknesses, along with diagnostic test results, we craft a personalized plan in terms of instructors, content, and schedule. We then dynamically adapt as needed to deliver optimal results.
It’s critical to us that you only pay for what you need, and our billing strategy reflects this philosophy. If your student rapidly achieves their desired results, we will not penalize you by forcing you to pay for a package with additional hours that you no longer need.
Before deciding on Individual SAT/ACT Test Prep, we encourage you to consider our Small Group SAT/ACT Test Prep program. Our experience indicates that most students tend to benefit from the interaction with their peers in the small group setting. Students learn alternative solutions to problems and enjoy the overall camaraderie. Please review the information below regarding who should opt for Individual SAT/ACT Test Prep.

Who Should Opt for Individual Test Prep Tutoring?
Private SAT/ACT tutoring is typically a better choice for a student who:
- Is refining a high score (680+ on SAT sections or 30+ on ACT composite)
- Had a low initial score (Up to 450 on SAT sections or 17 on ACT composite)
- Has a complex schedule
- Prefers a one-on-one learning environment
- Has learning differences
NOTE: Please do not contact us for last minute “cram” sessions in preparation for the SAT or ACT. These sessions rarely produce the desired results for students, parents, or our team.
Managing expectations
Your student’s success is our success. With that in mind, we’ve created the chart below to help you understand the typical number of tutoring hours needed to achieve your student’s optimal results.

The Loudoun Test Prep Advantage
At Loudoun Test Prep, we give students the confidence they need to tackle academic challenges like the SAT or AP Calculus.
My daughter is not strong in math. She started with a 390 on the SAT math section and was really concerned. She ended up with a 540 after working with LTP via Individual Tutoring SAT Test Prep. We were thrilled!

How It Works
Process
- You start by signing up for our Individual Tutoring program below.
- In your confirmation email, you will receive a link to schedule a mandatory diagnostic exam (even if your student has completed a recent PSAT or SAT).
- After completing the diagnostic exam, we will schedule a Zoom call with our founder, Vinay Bhawnani, in which you will discuss exam results, test prep strategy for your student, and tutor selection.
- Next, our operations director will contact you to finalize your student’s tutoring schedule.
- After approximately 4 – 5 weeks of tutoring, in most cases, we will schedule a Zoom parent meeting with each of your student’s tutors to discuss progress.
Payments: Pay only for what you need
We want to ensure that you only pay for the hours your student actually needs to properly prepare for the SAT or ACT. That’s why we’ve created a unique payment structure for our Individual Test Prep sessions.
Success for your student is our highest goal. Please carefully read the following information. After doing so, if you have specific questions about your student, please consider scheduling a free consultation with us. We want to do right by your student!
- You complete the registration process below and pay $1,000 as a deposit.
- At the end of each month, we will send you an invoice noting the number of hours used.
- We deduct the pro-rated value for the hours from the $1,000 deposit.
- Pro-rating is determined using the 16 hours at $2,999 framework, unless you have specifically requested LTP Founder Vinay Bhawnani for math tutoring (see details below when selecting course). Most students use between 10-20 hours of tutoring, but each student is different.
- Please reference the above table to understand the estimated number of tutoring hours for your student. Also note that we may encourage your student to take a later exam to achieve optimal testing results.
- For every 16 hours of paid tutoring completed, you may choose either one free hour of academic math tutoring or a one-hour college essay crafting session.
- Once the $1,000 is exhausted, we will continue with monthly invoicing based on the above pro-rating strategy.
- You may elect to cease tutoring at any time that you feel your student is sufficiently prepared for the exam(s).
- When we both agree to a scheduled session, we are committing our staff to be with your student. If you are late to a scheduled meeting, then those are lost minutes for you and your student. You will be charged for the full session, no questions asked.
- From time to time, we may need to reschedule a session with your student. When this occurs, it has no bearing on any other sessions.
- Important note: While our Individual Test Prep Tutoring program is an excellent choice for students with complicated schedules, it is very important to commit to the program. We must rely on YOU to schedule your sessions and ensure that your student is actively making an effort to attend them and engage in the program.

Class Schedule
Students will typically meet for 1-2 hours with their reading tutor and 1-2 hours with their math tutor each week. This will begin eight (8) weeks prior to the SAT or ACT exam that they are planning on taking. That said, we customize each student's schedule based on need/progress.
