Please thoroughly read the information below.

Schedule and Scheduling

Register Online

  • Complete registration form.
  • You will select your class schedule at time of registration.
  • Your deposit will be credited toward the course tuition.

Student Takes In-Person Diagnostic Test

  • Diagnostic test results help LTP understand your student’s level of competency in the subject matter prior to starting the program.
  • Note: If your student has testing accommodations (IEP, ADA) of extended time through College Board, while we are able to accommodate additional time, we are unable to accommodate the following: braille, large print text, screen reading technology, or scribes (oral dictation) at this time.

Payment

  • Full payment is required prior to the first day of the program. If we have not received full payment prior to the start of classes, we will auto-bill your balance to the same credit card with which you paid your deposit.
  • Once full payment is received, it is nonrefundable.  No schedule changes will be accommodated after full payment has been received.  Please refer to Payment and Refunds here.

Schedule Changes

IF you want to make any schedule changes, you must fill out our AOS/AET Schedule Change Request form ASAP. You can find it here. We will accommodate you if we can.

Change Fees

Any schedule changes AFTER the first day of your student’s first class, will be subject to a $200 rescheduling fee IF we are able to accommodate them. Please see information on payments and refunds here.

Logistics

Registration E-mail

After registering, everyone should have received an e-mail (from info@loudountestprep.com) with further details about the program, including asking your student to schedule their in-person diagnostic test.  Sometimes this e-mail is flagged as Junk/Spam/Promotions.  Please check your appropriate folders if you didn’t receive it.  We can resend it to you if needed.

Diagnostic Test

We will send your student details for the in-person proctored diagnostic test. Scores for all class tests will be available on the first day of class. Note: If your student has testing accommodations (IEP, ADA) of extended time through College Board, while we are able to accommodate additional time, we are unable to accommodate the following: braille, large print text, screen reading technology, or scribes (oral dictation) at this time.

Publicity

Occasionally, LTP posts images and videos of our classes and students on LTP’s social media accounts. You hereby authorize LTP to capture and post images and videos of your student on LTP’s social media accounts. You may email LTP and ask us to remove any images or videos from LTP’s social media account at any time. Further, your credit card or debit card authorization is also verifiable consent that you are the student’s parent or legal guardian.

Arrive on Time

Please ensure that your student arrives on time for each class. We want to make every minute count!

Pick-up on Time

Please pick up your student on time.  To keep everyone safe, do not stop in the middle of the road.  Parents/legal guardians/students are solely responsible for managing travel arrangements.

COVID-19

As both national and state COVID-19 restrictions have been relaxed, we have made mask wearing optional for both students and staff. If your student is ill, they should not attend class. If they attend class and are ill, we will make them wear a mask to protect other students.

Students Must Do Homework

Please ensure your student completes their homework for class and brings in all of their work. Do not assist your student with their homework – we need to understand where they are struggling.

In fairness to those who have completed their homework, students who come to class unprepared will be asked to finish the homework in a different room. We will not provide makeup classes for missed homework. If your student misses a week of class, they need to ensure they ask their tutor for the homework for the next class.

Come Prepared for Class

Please also ensure your student brings their Chromebook, LTP BINDER, pencils, and calculator (for math) each class.

Missing Class & Make-Up Classes

We are committed to small class sizes, so attempting to schedule students in to other classes to ‘make-up’ a missed class is very challenging. As a result, we do not schedule nor offer make-up classes. This program includes (30) 2-hour classes to aid in managing vacation/sickness. Students are expected to attend 27 classes, but may attend all 30 if they choose to.

Full payment for the course must be received prior to the first day of class. If we have not received your balance payment by the start of the program, we will auto-bill it to the credit card which you used to pay your deposit. Students will not be admitted to class if there is an outstanding balance.

Communication

General Communication

Your primary contact for any program question is Communications & Operations Director Cali Moorman (cali@loudountestprep.com).  If you contact her, please allow her at least 24 hours to respond. Note: We are closed on Fridays.

Parent Meetings & Feedback

As the course progresses, we will send out information about your student’s performance as needed via our website Discussion Thread feature. It is your responsibility as a parent or legal guardian to read, and if necessary, respond to these communiques. Given the size of our program, we do not conduct formal parent meetings as we need to focus on teaching students.

Check-in with Your Student

By registering for this course, you are making a considerable investment in your student’s future. Please check in with your student frequently regarding homework and how they’re feeling about the course. The earlier we are made aware of concerns, the sooner we can address them!

A Note About Accommodations

If your student has testing accommodations (IEP, ADA) of extended time through College Board, while we are able to accommodate additional time, we are unable to accommodate the following: braille, large print text, screen reading technology, or scribes (oral dictation) at this time.

Cheating Policy

One of the most important aspects of our teaching process is the continual feedback loop. This loop is created by giving students homework based on material presented in that class’s instruction.

Our expectation is that the student will complete their homework without the aid of parents, tutors, or other external materials (such as looking up the specific question online to obtain the solution via photo math or any other source).

Why is this important? If the student receives outside help, we cannot accurately assess where the student needs additional help and where they do not. In addition, after years of trial and error, we feel strongly that our teaching methods will produce optimal outcomes in the real test setting.

This may make more sense when considering a coaching metaphor. You hire a coach to teach your child how to hit a baseball. Another person at home teaches your child a different batting technique. Your child then strikes out at the game. The child received conflicting instruction, and was confused when at bat. We do not want this to happen on test day.

You are hiring us to be your student’s test prep coach. Please ensure that you allow us to do our job.

We have developed our AOS/AET Entrance Program curriculum and staff to yield optimal results for our students. Our success rate tells us we’re getting it right.

Payments and Refunds

AOS/AET Entrance Program

  • At time of registration, a deposit will be collected.
  • The deposit will be credited toward the total program tuition, provided you do not cancel your registration.
  • After the diagnostic test is taken, but one week before the first class of your program, you may cancel your registration, but you will be refunded only 50% of your deposit.
  • The balance of your tuition is due on the first day of the program and if not received earlier, it will be auto-billed using the same credit card with which you paid your deposit. NO refunds for any portion of your deposit or tuition will be issued following receipt of this payment.
  • Loudoun Test Prep reserves the right to expel a student at its sole discretion. Reasons for expulsion include, but are not limited to: bullying, cheating, and violent behavior. In the event of expulsion, Loudoun Test Prep will refund the prorated cost of the remaining classes.

Our tutor knew that my daughter knew the material, but somehow it wasn’t coming through on the practice tests. He worked backward with her to find the missing link. She began to see success on the practice tests before she took the real SAT. She went into the SAT feeling confident and her score went up 200 points!
